How to Download Videos from Skool Community Posts
Community posts carry dates, comments, and member context that an MP4 cannot preserve. Work from the individual post and archive only what is necessary and permitted.
Community posts are not classroom lessons
Skool community posts can contain useful demos, announcements, event replays, and answers that never appear in the formal Classroom. They also carry conversation context that an MP4 alone does not preserve.
Skool Bulk Downloader's current product scope includes supported videos in community posts that the current account can already view. Use it only when you own the video or have permission to save it.
Decide whether the post belongs in the archive
Before downloading, ask:
- Is this video part of the course or a temporary conversation?
- Did the creator permit local copies?
- Does it contain member names, faces, questions, or confidential examples?
- Is a formal replay or updated lesson available elsewhere?
- What text or comments are required to understand the video?
A community post can be technically accessible but inappropriate to preserve or redistribute. Participant privacy deserves special attention.
Open the individual post
A feed view can contain several posts and media players. Work from the individual post whenever possible:
- Open the specific community post.
- Confirm the correct video plays normally.
- Note the post date, author, and subject.
- Start playback and wait for the provider to activate.
- Open Skool Bulk Downloader.
- Match the detected title/provider to the post.
- Choose an available quality and start one job.
- Keep the post open until completion.
- Verify the MP4 outside the browser.
This reduces the chance of attaching a generic detected title to the wrong post.
Identify the provider
Community posts may use a different provider from the course. Record whether the video is Skool-native, Loom, Vimeo, Wistia, YouTube, or unknown.
Provider-specific next steps:
Use creator-enabled native downloads first when the provider supplies them.
Preserve only necessary context
An MP4 does not include the post copy, linked worksheet, correction, or valuable reply. For content you are allowed to preserve, record:
- post date;
- author or host;
- original title;
- a short subject label;
- authorized source URL;
- provider;
- related module or event;
- essential permitted notes or links;
- privacy/distribution restriction.
Do not automatically copy an entire comment thread. Save only the context required for your permitted use and avoid collecting unnecessary member data.
Name posts by date and subject
Community videos often have weak titles such as “Quick update” or “Watch this.” Use a sortable filename:

If the post belongs to a formal module, place it there and record the community-post source in the manifest. If it is supplemental, keep a separate date-sorted folder.
Separate duplicates and updates
Creators may later turn a community demo into a polished classroom lesson. Compare:

Document the decision so an absent file does not look like a missed download.
Verify before leaving the post
Check the beginning, midpoint, and final minute; confirm picture, audio, duration, and readable shared-screen detail. Community videos are often recorded quickly, so also check orientation and aspect ratio.

Community-post checklist
- The individual post—not a busy feed—is open.
- Ownership or permission is clear.
- Participant privacy and sensitive examples were considered.
- The provider and post date are recorded.
- The detected item matches the visible post.
- Essential permitted context is captured separately.
- The MP4 passes the three-point verification test.
- Duplicates and superseded posts are marked.
- The file is stored by module or date, not as a generic download.
